The Sound of Suffering by Mark Towse
(Honestly, this one took some time to get into. Although I loved the ending, getting there took some effort. Maybe you’ll have more luck.)
Mean Spirited by Nick Roberts
(Mean Spirited was a satisfying read about a lost dog that comes with some supernatural friends. Unfortunately, those friends aren’t as nice as the dog.)
Currently Reading
The Children of Eve by John Connolly. (The Children of Eve is book number 22 in the Charlie Parker series. IMO this series is a must have for any reader. Yes, it’s a thriller and yes, the series is about a private investigator and all that jazz, but there’s something special about Charlie Parker that sets this series way above most every series on the market today. They are all standalone stories so you can grab any copy and follow the story. It’s a must read series.)

The Dark Veil Series: The Rose Vol 1 and 2. You can grab a copy of both books for $0.99 each. Vol 3 will begin in our newsletter on Saturday, making this the perfect time to get caught up on the series. For all my scifi fans, this series is definitely for you. Alien vampires, Alien Gray Witches, Genetic Manipulations and of course Rebellion. It’s like an insane bloody Star Wars for Ancient Alien fans and yes, my horror readers will love it too.

Terrors & Tales Call for Submissions:
We officially launched the Terrors and Tales newsletter on April 24th. The newsletter features stories and poems from some of the best in today’s up and coming indie authors and includes movie and book reviews, a deep dive into Cult Classics, news, and DIY tutorials.
We are currently taking submission for our July 2025 installment and are looking for short stories no more than 3,000 words, articles, and poems. To submit your original short story or poem email PD here by pasting your story, article, or poem into the body of the email. In the subject line please include: Terrors and Tales Submission along with the title of your work and the word count.
